DUKE Highway Route Map on Google Maps

Duta Ulu Kelang Expressway is going to be the newest highway in KL. It connect from Taman Hillview in Ulu Kelang and also Batu Caves to NKVE interchange in Jalan Duta.

Route map
After visiting MRCB website, there’s only some schematic diagrams of the highway. But then I’ve tried to use Google Maps to trace the diagram and make it interactive. Yes, you can pan, zoom and click on the Map. Go ahead and try!


Property
Good news for developer but bad news for the people. The value of properties along DUKE highway and also its surrounding will be increased. It will be difficult to get a apartments or flat houses soon. So better start looking for one now! (Dedicated to my friend who are going to start working in KL next year)

Traffic
I’m confident this highway can reduce the congestion at Jalan Jelatek especially during peak hours. Its the fastest and shortest route between the KL suburbs.

Toll
As other newly opened highway, initially there will be a free toll for the first month. (I refer to AKLEH and SMART highway). After that, they will start to charge you. So, take this opportunity to go to your office early. I guess, you can leave your home a bit late because you don’t have to go through the traffic jam anymore.

Opening date
I can’t tell when this highway will be opened. From my observation, they have installed the directional signboard at every interchange but they covered the destination to avoid confusion to motorist. So, I predict that it will open by early of 2009.

Balik Kampung
Since the highway is going straight to Jalan Duta to my place in Keramat, its going to be a swift journey without having to go through KL anymore!
