2.5 stars for Hancock

Its been awhile since I watch a movie at a cinema. As usual, my best neighborhood cinema will be the MBO at Galaxy, Ampang. I want to watch for a good action packed movie and I want to give ‘Hancock’ a try. I was a bit confused whether to watch Malay film ‘Sepi’ which featuring Afdlin Shauki as one of the main roles. Since time is running out, I’ve decided to watch Will Smith in his latest action movie, Hancock.
So, why did I only 2.5 stars to Hancock?I don’t really like the movie itself. I pretty like the introduction of the character. He’s just like a normal guy whose have a super power but he doesn’t know how to contribute to the society. He’s wasted. It also has a good storyline, where he went to the jail and becoming a brand new superheroes.
Besides that, it also has a superb CGI. It is important to show how tough Hancock is. The action is awesome. I like it when Hancock is fighting with his ‘wife’ and causes damage to the entire city. Too many damage but that’s cool. I wonder how are the authority gonna clean up the mess.
Now, what’s wrong with the movie? Again. A good movie should come up with a good storyline. Basically, Hancock promotional posters managed to capture my attention by the tagline ‘he’s saving the world’. Now where is that part? Who is he saving the world from? It sounds big but there’s nothing in it.
I hate it when movie producers are trying to give good impact on the CGI but they are lacking in term of the good storyline. For the best CGI, I would recommend Transformers movie.

tapi will smith berlakon ok tak? aku belum tgk hancock lg. tapi, sampai crite “I am Legend”, aku sgt impressed dgn cara dia bwk character dia.
lakonan die best la.. ni mmg pelakon terbaik pn. tp nmpk keegoan yg sgt tinggi utk cerita i am legend dgn citer ni.. lebih kurg gak karekter nye.
