I’ve thought about this fangirl issue when I’ve read my earlier post, This is Me vs Siapaku. I’ve mention about putting a female artist picture inside my blog.
DEFINITION
Now back to fangirl issue. What is fangirl is all about? After checking the definition in Wikipedia and Urban Dictionary, I can conclude that fangirl is an overly obsessive female. They may obsessed with any male celebrities, either actor, singer, band, anime characters (which is totally fictional) and even a pianist.
BLOG
You may notice that they will show their obsession and express it in their blog. The most obvious thing that you might notice is that their blog header. These are some of the example of the blogs of my friends that put their favourite artist for the header.

FANBOY?
Eventhough there’s a fanboy term, but I don’t think guys will have an obsession towards female celebrities or figures. But for guys, they will have obsession on football stars, anime characters (Otaku) and also games. However, their obsession won’t be reflected on their blog header. I can say that guys have their own alter-ego. They will simply put their picture on their blog. This is also to prove that they are confidence with how they looks like and who they are. But there are also few female bloggers that have their picture in their layout too.

ADVANTAGE
Well, there’s an advantage of being a fangirl. All I can say is that, they will try to learn using Photoshop in order to create their own header picture. Its the passion that drives them to explore the graphic design in producing good and remarkable header. Guys just love simple things.
DISADVANTAGE
Usually, obsession won’t last long. They will get bored and try to look for another things. Just like my sister, she used to like Gareth Gates, My Chemical Romance, The Veronicas and finally, she’s back to basic. No more fangirling anymore. Just keep it low.
By the way, it is OK to see a female blogger with either male or female artist or figure as the header. But I don’t think its OK to see a male blogger who put male celebrities as the header. So what do you think?

anyway, sometimes tu idea dtg sendiri. for me, bila masa time tu akak tgh dgr lagu2 ke, tgh tgk movie yg akak minat ke, inspirasi dtg. lagi2 bila mengadap PC kt CC tu berjam2.
but some ideas didn’t work out. and I disagree with your idea that fangirls get bored easily. It’s just we need some change, that’s all. we are loyal to those we love, ok??

aiya…kalau nana letak header tu lambar sket msti tak tmasuk gambar header dalam tu kan hahaha..

But I don’t think its OK to see a male blogger who put male celebrities as the header”. sebnarny ini ada banyak masalah yg sewaktu dengannya. contohnya, kalau kita tgk two girls pegi makan sama2, atau shopping sambil berpegangan tangan, nampak ok je. tp kalau two guys buat mcm tu, pegang tangan sambil jalan2, huu… orang dah mula pk bukan2, kan?
