Grungew WordPress Theme

After 7 months using WordPress, finally I’ve come up with my own theme design for adlankhalidi.com. I called it Grungew version 1.0. Check out the interview here.
What is the concept for this theme?
The concept for this theme is Grunge yet modern and fresh. I choose grunge because I had applied this element in my Friendster and Myspace profiles.
Why I call it Grungew?
Initially I want to call it Ungu Garang (sounds like grunge) but I don’t see any ‘garang’ or striking purple here. So I try to name it Grunge Ungu. Something wrong with that name. Finally I decided to name it Grungew. It sounds like Grunge+Ungu. Still its the weird name but I like it.
(Giving name to someone or something is one of the hardest thing in life. So appreciate the name your parents had given to you!)
Why it is purple and lilac?
Actually it is my favourite colour. Its hard to find a grunge theme with 3 column and its purple. Besides that, I think ladies who wears purple or lilac looks attractive.
Why do you choose 3 column layout?
The layout looks the same like the previous one, Revolution 1.0.. I’m more into 3 column because I can reduce the scrolling. I hate scrolling on blogs. I’ve read that good web design has minimum scrolling. However, on certain business website such as e-book promotion, they put everything on a single page.
InsyaAllah I’ll released my theme in the future. I’m still compiling few designs. Check out my portfolio from time to time.
