Happy New Year 2008

Salam. First of all, happy new year to all my readers. Welcome to my new domain at adlankhalidi.com. After I’ve been blogging since 2004, there are 305 posts to date. I still can remember the first post that I’ve talk about which is the ‘Illegal Reunion’ with my fellow friends.

However, time passes quickly and now its already 2008. Another year before I’m going to be graduated as an Industrial Design student from UIA. To recap my 2007, I guess there are lesser post compared to the previous years. 83 post in 2006 and only 47 post for 2007. That’s mean I’m getting more hectic life and not having enough time for my dearie blog.

How about resolutions? Have I fulfill the 2007 resolutions? Basically people will have the same resolution as the previous years and also adding or replacing with another one.

1. Expand network in UIA

Its just the same as the last year. I’ve joined many programs and get to know lots of people. The biggest program for me was the KAED Fest 07 and I’m the Program Manager. I’ve rejoined Taaruf Week again after 1 year of having break from it. So guys, joining university programs is one of the best way for you to mix with society. Do it and love it.

2. Contribute to the society

I love doing community service and voluntary works. Is it for real? Eventually I’m doing it through programs in AKHI Project such as Baktisiswa or even with the kids. I also contribute in design aspect especially in logo, banner, poster, signage and many more. The more we give (time, effort, money) the more we get! Trust me.

3. Making money

I’m not joining few programs is because I’m being busy doing projects. Its true that making money is fun especially when we can use our design and multimedia skills to make money, but after thinking carefully, what’s the purpose of the money if we can’t use it to help the community? So, the point is, money is important in order to live in this material world. But do remember that money is not everything. We shouldn’t put the world ahead than the hereafter. Grab the world in your hand and save the hereafter in your heart. Chase both of them and InsyaAllah we’ll be successful Muslim.

4. Serious relationship

At last, I think I’ve found myself in a good position to be able not to flirt with girls anymore. OK, its just that I’m having my special someone and I don’t wanna repeat the same mistakes again. I’m not gonna lose her easily just like my previous one. InsyaAllah I’ll be good and please pray for us that our relationship will last forever.

After all, I’ll have the same resolution for the new year 2008 yet I’ll upgrade it from time to time. InsyaAllah, with this new domain, I hope to blog even more especially in appreciating designs in my life. Thanks for reading my blog all these while. With the name of Allah, I’m officially launch this new weblog of adlankhalidi.com. Wassalam.
