Humanitarian Walk in IIUM Gombak
12 TweetIts the first time for UIA to organise such event seriously. OK before this there is also something like this walk event during Taaruf Week but that one is only targeted for the newbies. This event was different because they wanted every single person to participate regardless you are junior, senior, school children to elderly.
It was Sunday and I already divided the jobs for my subcomms to take the pictures and videos in certain area. Then I wake up idly in the morning and went to the male sports complex to see what happen.
According to Fitrah, they were just released from the stadium after the aerobic session. Guess Good timing because I don’t have to see the crowd. Eh? what’s wrong with that? Eventually this event reminds me of my cross country or ‘merentas desa’ at SM Teknik KL during my school days. It was a 7km run if I’m not mistaken. Still remember that Amirudin was the best runner. Haha. I take 25 minutes for that and its interesting.
Back to our topic, this time the route was only 5.6km as I was told by the committee. So I guess I can make it in less than 30 minutes isn’t it? But the weather is too hot to handle even my friend told me she had sunburnt. OK, please apply sun block lotion next time if you wanna walk or run under the scorching sun. 
I guess this event is one of the successful event. Congratz to the PM Ismail who come up with this idea eventhough he’s quite busy attending the students’ summit.
