I want to pamper myself yesterday. So I’ve decided to go for a movie at BJ Complex which is situated next to my condominium. Since there’s no other good movies left, I’ve decided to watch the Susuk movie.
I’ve read a lot about susuk through Mastika and other sources but I never watched the real thing. Its hard to understand how those gold or silver needle, planted under human skin. There’s no documentary yet so far in Malaysia. I wonder if Misteri Nusantara (TV3) has a documentary about it.
When I watch the making of Susuk at TV, the director, Naeim Ghalili and Amir Muhammad claimed that they wanted to explore a new theme for a film which has become a taboo in our society. That’s why they choose Susuk as their theme.
About the storyline, I simply love it because it simple yet it also has some element of surprise and suspens. Despite having the same characters in Ezora drama such as Diana Rafar and Anne Abdullah as Soraya and Mona. Diana Rafar is a good actress. Both in the drama and also in this movie.
However the ending of this movie left the audience a big question mark. Is there any sequel for this movie?
I also like the CGI approach in this movie which is more than enough to show the effect of the susuk. The beheaded chinese lady part was pretty scary. Another one is when the needles came out from Sofea Jane’s pretty face. That’s why I mention here, Susuk movie has set a certain benchmark for Malay film industry. Beside that, I also love the camera as well as the transitions which simply use creative CGI to illustrate between the scenes.
I guess its worth watching the movie because I’ve got RM6 ticket every Wednesday.

quite interesting! feel like want to wacth this movie also. he3.
nowadays, a lot of drama and movie that perform this genre.
like current drama “kekasihku seru” by khabir bahtia. full of drama and a lot of scary part also.
hehe. i always missed to watch kekasihku seru.
i dun think my head can watch many dramas from now on.. enough with Ezora drama.. hehe
then its time to focus on ibadah back..hehe
gonna hold all not so good activities for the holy month

hey! is it really a nice muvi?? i’m a bit reluctant to watch Malaysian muvi except for Afdlin’s works. my fren really want to watch this muvie. so i can give it a try next time. have u watched wall-e?? it’s nice. simple yet touchable, funny, adorable, cute and also included one important issue that we shud ponder upon. u shud try this muvi if u want to relax ur mind. no need to stress out ur mind to think wut’s the ending and etc. just haf fun watching it.

i’ve watched this movie on the primary show in my town cineplex…The story have a moderate strenght but somehow i think it was just a good relief for my dullness day..

i’ve watched this movie on the primary show in my town cineplex…The story have a moderate strenght but somehow i think it was just a good relief for my dullness day..
