This is Me vs Siapaku

Its been a long time since I put beautiful girls inside my blog. Just a quick review about the song ‘This is Me’ by Demi Lovato and the Malay version, ‘Siapaku’ by Suki.
Last week, my friend asked me whether I’ve listened to the song or not. She said it was a song from Camp Rock series in Disney Channel. I don’t subscribe to Astro’s Fun package so I don’t watch the show. But then, I just download the song and try to listen to it. She’s 16 but she has a good and energetic voice. She reminds me of The Veronicas few years back.
Hot FM
While listening to online HotFM last week, I was surprised when the DJ play this song. I make my own assumption that this song is a HOT song because its on HotFM. But this week, I’ve started to listen to the same song but in Malay version. The song is Siapaku by Suki. Actually I enjoy the song because the lyric is not about love but more into self motivation.These are the videos from Youtube. Try to compare these two.

Siapaku – Suki. Nice cut here and there but the story is funny.

owh,lagu versi Melayu tak berapa best. (after watch it on you tube kat atas). mungkin sebab saya dah dengar versi Inggeris dulu kot.

Ohh.. I didn’t know Suki sings the Malay version of This Is Me. But I prefer the English version after listening to the Malay version. Selalunya, original version memang lagu best..kot? And I like Demi’s voice even though Suki’s isn’t bad at all. Hehe..
Yeah, gotta agree that Suki looks better with dark hair colour. =)

it depends on the singer, either to follow 100% or sing with er own identity right? i can say she looks older with that blonde hair.

I just adore the sound of demi lovato, but suki’s voice, to me is so tah pape. i dont know-lah. i know tons of people think she sounds great (that’s why she was voted THE one in a million). i dont. i find her tone biasa and tak memorable..i guess that’s why nani tak minat die kot. signature tone die tak unik. I’ve asked around what’s the thing that’s so distinguished about her voice, couldn’t really get any. well, the english version is definitely better, to me, because demi lovato sounds so much better than suki. and please, she’s so much prettier, too. (from where i stand-lah). sorry, bad comment. i just dont think she’s THAT good. cute, to me, would be horikita maki. kyaaa~~!!! LOL. sorry. bad comment. *shuts up*
