Going to Makkah 2026

Salam. I have confirmed my place with Pilgrimage Fund Board of Malaysia (Lembaga Tabung Haji Malaysia) that I will be going to Makkah on 2026.

The desire of going to Makkah is very strong especially when I’m doing a study of Makkah and Hajj in my design thesis. With some extra cash in hands, I’ve started to save for making my dream come true. For your information, before you can register for Hajj, you must have at least RM1300 in your Tabung Haji account.

Last week, As mentioned about registering for Hajj and get the opportunity 16 years later. Well, I believe that the number is increasing exponentially. From my calculation, 2009 to 2026 is 17 years.

At least I’m just turned 40 years old by that time. I’m planning to go to Makkah with my parents. If my future wife has the same opportunity, I’d like her to join us too.

However, going to Hajj through travel agencies can shorten the waiting duration. But its going to be costly. Well, let’s wait and see. I really hope that I can go to Makkah before I turn 40 years old. By the mean time, I have to develop myself spiritually. Otherwise, it will be just like a vacation trip to Makkah.

P/S – wonder what’s Makkah going to looks like in 17 years time.
