Transformers Decepticon Sideways Toy

Salam. Seems like I really has fall in love with the Transformers. Last week, my sister bought me a belated birthday present, its a Sideways action figure. Now, I can cross it from my wish list. This toy costs about RM59.90 and I’ve got it at Carrefour Wangsa Maju. I can say that Transformers toy is hard to get, thanks to the movie. Many parents had to buy one for their children.

Here’s some trivia about Sideways as written on the back of the packaging.

Back on Cybertron, Sideways was a simple courier who avoided combat at all costs. He tried to always remain in the shadow of larger Decepticons, where the Autobots might not notice him. On earth, he’s heeping much the same practice. he teamed up with Demolishor early on, and hopes that if the Autobots find them, the big Constructicon can keep him safe.

In the movie, Sideways was the Audi R8 in Shanghai. Since Sideways don’t fight, he evaded the attacks from Arcee, Mudflaps and Skids. Finally, Sideswipes catches up with him and cuts him in half, killing him instantly. (Source: Wikipedia)

In case you’ve forgotten which one is Sideways, you can watch this trailer on minute 1:31.

Audi R8

Audi R8 was designed by Walter de Silva and his team. Audi is one of the best car manufacturer in Europe. Even Frank Martin (Jason Statham) used Audi A8 in all three Transporter movies. Since it was in Shanghai, why Bay doesn’t uses any Asian cars as Sideways?

I’ve always dreamed of having my own Transformers toy since I was a kid. I’m quite jealous with my friend who bring Optimus Prime back in kindergarten time. Finally, after 17 years, I received my first Transformers toy. Am I being immature? Its up to you to decide.

I always wonder how the hell the robot can transform into a car. With this action figure, I’ve realized how creative the designer is. Becoming a toy designer is cool, isn’t it? More picture here.
