Celebrating 5 Birthdays Together

Salam. Happy birthday to me! Officially, I’m already 23 years old and another year older. If you guys have missed, my birthday was on 6th June. I love the combination this year – 060609.
So, have you guys celebrate five birthdays together? I don’t know the correct term but I’ve experienced that before.
Back in 2006, during my first year, my friend Fitrah hosted a birthday party for the June-born people. I promised her that I’ll be the next host. But, I was quite busy with Multidip in 2007 and internship in 2008. So, 2009 will be my last shot.
So, after a quick plan and coordination with Nadirah, we manage to organise a birthday party for five June-born people. Chronologically, Hidayah 5th, me 6th, Fitrah 9th, Najwa 10th and Syarah 12th.
Birthday Party
The party was held in HS cafe on 9th June after Isya’ prayers. We’ve chosen that place because its easier for our friends to come and join us rather than celebrating it outside campus.
Well, its going to be one of the sweet birthday memories in IIUM. This year, I received three presents from Nadirah, Jai and Myss. They are small water tumbler, solar powered nodding toy and buttons for baju melayu. Thanks guys!
Birthday Cakes
We have Secret Recipe cheesecake and all five names were written on top of it. Can you imagine how funny it was when singing birthday song and mentioning all five names? (Happy birthday to Adlan, Fitrah, Syarah, Hidayah and Najwa…)
Besides that, Myss also had prepared a lovely home made chocolate cheese cake. It is very delicious because it is Myss’s Secret Recipe too.
Thanks to all my AKHI Club friends for coming. Sorry for any shortcomings, latecomers and ad-hoc preparation. I’m glad you guys came despite having a meeting that night.
