SIM Pack Packaging Design
65 TweetWhile doing spring cleaning inside my bedroom, I’ve found many things especially those stuff that I’ve treasure during schooldays. So, I just wanna share with you guys about the packaging design for the mobile prepaid.
These are the SIM pack packaging design for Celcom Xplore, Celcom Xceed, Digi Beyond Prepaid and Maxis Hotlink from 2004 till 2005.
It was quite expensive that time. The Xceed SIM pack alone cost about RM98. I’ve started to use prepaid numbers after I leave school in 2004. Four years already and I’m still a loyal Celcom user.
Here’s the hall of fame for the SIM card holder inside the SIM pack.
When I was still in school, I used TM Touch post paid because my dad will pay for the bills. But then, I think I should pay for my own expense. That’s why I’ve started using prepaids.
At one time, I have 3 numbers from all three operators. I thought that I can save some credits by using the same operators to call or SMS my friend. But in the long term, its not worth it. Besides that, my friends will get confused on which number they can easily contact me. Since I want to make it easier for them, I stick to only one number.
Well, I just share about these SIM pack stuff because one day, I’m sure it will become obsolete. These item also falls into packaging design with a bit of graphic design and also marketing purposes. I guess SingTel (Singaporean mobile operator) has a better and creative SIM Pack design.
P/S – Please don’t call the numbers on the SIM pack. I’m no longer related with that number.

what’s with the singtel? what’s so special about it? how did you know about it?

tak penah simpan benda2 tuh but one thing for sure…
the number that i’m using rite now is the first handphone i got 6-7 years ago. plus, 2 times my handphone been robbed but i still have the same-old simcard….

hmm…same goes with me. The number I used now is my first number since 2002.. hmm, buleh guwe amek gmbar di atas utk dibuat texture/stock?

Saffa pki maxis.. tp nnt nak tukar celcom.. maxis mahal sangat lah..
kalo jadi org yg aktif dgn kelab dan persatuan, lebih baik gunakan celcom UPAX. tak rugi pun.. nk kira skrg ni, sebulan just pakai RM20 je. ni pun sebab da tak aktif da. kalo aktif pun baru RM30 je.. siyes..!
