On 14th March 2009, Designext had organised an Annual Grand Dinner: Glamourous Night at Bora Ombak, Ampang. The dinner is also meant as pre-graduation dinner for the fourth year students. Basically, its a farewell party for us.

It shares the same building with Ampang Sports Planet. It was my first time being there. Que Haidar and Linda Jasmin also held their wedding reception there weeks before. Basically, Bora Ombak applies Balinese theme for the interior as well as its garden and landscape design.
Theme : Glamourous
What do you have in mind when it comes to glamourous theme? I don’t know what to wear for that dinner. So, I just bring a scarf and put it around my neck. I don’t even care to win best dress and so on. I just want to eat and have a good time with my friends because its the last dinner for us.
Dress for dinner
Usually, girls will take this opportunity to wear special dress and put on some makeup. I wonder how do they define glamourous, some Hollywood style but still covering their aurah. They best thing is to mix and match and you may looks beautiful and stunning. Surprisingly, the same girl won the best dress award two times in a row. Click here for more pictures. Credit to Bro. Performances
There are lots of interesting performances from my junior and my friends. Credit goes to Arina who sings Yuna’s Dan Sebenarnya. Way to go girl! But the most interesting performance goes to my studiomates, The Dwellers. I enjoyed Laskar Pelangi the best.
Memories
I think four years is quite a short time. When they screened the multimedia presentation of our activities back in the first year, I feel touched. Every beginning will has its end but every end is a new beginning. Despite all the happy faces, deep inside I’m a bit sad because I don’t know whether we can still see each other and enjoy the time of togetherness.
No matter what happens, I’ll always be positive and I’m going to strive for the best. I want to graduate and become a better person out there!
