Design your floor plan with Floorplanner

Salam. I’ve been using this web application for more than one year but I never write anything about it yet. This week, I’ll introduce you FloorPlanner, the easiest way to create floor plans.

Fast way to visualize your space

Right now, I need to visualize the space inside my small bedroom. I wonder how its going to looks like if I put the bed here, the wardrobe there, my workstation and many more. Instead of doing manual sketches of the furniture arrangement, I can use Floorplanner to help me arrange those furniture with the correct size including width and depth.

Not just for interior designers

You don’t have to be interior designers to plan your floor. I mean you don’t have to be interior designer to use this application. If you are familiar with Facebook games, then it shouldn’t be much problem.

Its a Flash based application and everything is drag and drop. You can resize the furniture, rotate them to any angle, expand your room, choose your favourite floor finishing and many more.

3D model visualization

There are few furniture models that can be render in 3D. Once you have satisfied designing in 2D, you can switch to 3D view to see how its look like. You can rotate, pan and zoom your 3D plan just like using any other 3D software.

It’s Free

The main thing that I like about Floorplanner is free. You don’t have to pay to use this application. With the free account, you can create few floor plans, rooms and many cool features. However free accounts come with some limitation and some nagging advertisement.

Its hard for me to describe everything here. You just have to try it yourself. So far, this is one of the best web application that I love and enjoy using it.

Before I end this quick post, you can watch this video on how to create a floor plans within 3 minutes.

  1. floor planner is only for planning the floors la kan? ooh Google Sketchup amat perlu coz it can do way more than this – naik roof and exterior segala..cuma floor planner bleh ganti sketches la and is already in scale so you can easily furnish a room and visualize how it will actually look like here and there..

Saya memang penggemar Google Sketchup.
      Terima kasih.
