If you are outdoor activity enthusiast, I bet you must be interested with hiking and trekking activities. In this post, I’d like to share about Bukit Jambul as one of the popular hiking spots in Penang.
Here’s the map on how to get to BJ, the hiking path and the peak of BJ.
From the map, you can see that the hill is facing straight to the Penang bridge. But its hard to take a good picture up here because there are too many trees that block your view.
For the first time, I took about 20 minutes and for the second time, I took about 18 minutes to reach the top. If you have a good stamina, then you can hike faster. Frequent hikers can go up in about ten minutes. Usually going down the hill will take half the time you going up.
HILL TOP FACILITIES
– There are some workout stations
– Gymnasium equipment if you want to build your muscle.
– If you are tired, you can enjoy the view by relaxing on the benches
– Free hot drinks are provided for everyone. But you have to boil it yourself!
I believe that BJ Hiking Club had maintained all the facilities here. This is my last week in Penang. I’ll miss the chance hiking with my friends. More pictures in my Flickr account.
